Live Rosin is the type of oil that we extract from frozen cannabis buds without using any solvents/chemicals. We use a combination of water and ice to extract hash directly from the frothy, frozen cannabis buds. That’s it. Once we have the hash extracted and dried, we simply press it between two heated press plates. With enough pressure and heat, oil begins to ooze out of the hash. This oil is called Live Rosin. Once we’ve gathered the Live Rosin, it can be cured into a concentrate, injected into a vaporizer, mixed into our pre-rolls or mixed into our chews.
The word “Live” is indicative of the fact that our cannabis material is as close to being alive as possible when we process it. Typically when cannabis is harvested by cultivators, the plant material is hung out to dry and then cured. Think of buying flower at your local dispensary, or buying a pre-roll; it’s very dry and very easy to ignite. When our cannabis inputs are harvested by cultivators, instead of drying and curing the cannabis, the buds are immediately frozen in their living form. We then transport this frozen cannabis to our facility where it immediately gets stored in our freezer, or it gets processed in our Solventless lab using only water and ice. Now, you could make rosin using dried and cured cannabis flower, but that would be called “Rosin”, not “Live Rosin”. The word “Rosin” will always indicate a Solventless extraction, where as a “Live Resin” or “Resin” would indicate that the oil was extracted using hydrocarbon solvents such butane and propane.
Live Rosin comes from hash. When hash gets pressed at high temperatures, oil begins to ooze out of the hash. This oil oozing out of the hash is called Live Rosin.
Concentrates are simply a dense form of the cannabis flower, and all of its compounds. Concentrates tend to be more potent than flower, because we are processing hundreds of pounds of Fresh-Frozen flower and extracting the “active” parts of the plant such as THC, CBD, CBG, terpenes, etc. By removing the inactive parts of the plant, you are left with a very small amount of very potent hash. There are many ways to consume our concentrates as well. For example, you can drop our cold cure into a rig, roll it into a joint, decarboxylate it to mix with a recipe at home or decarboxylate it to add to your own vaporizer. Our hash can be smoked through a rig, rolled into joints or even pressed out at home! The options for consumption are truly endless.
